Staci’s many accomplishments in the Iowa State Senate and extensive experience in the financial sector make her highly qualified to represent Iowa’s 3rd district in the U.S. House of Representatives. This is also an opportunity for Iowa to make history by electing its first woman ever to Congress.

U.S. House of Representatives – Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District – Open Seat. If elected, Staci would be the first woman ever to represent Iowa in Congress.

Staci previously served in the Iowa State Senate from 2007-2011 as the Assistant Majority Leader.

While in the Senate, she sponsored 47 bills and 17 resolutions in her first three years.

One of the first bills Staci passed was Equal Pay for Equal Work legislation in 2009, the first Equal Pay Bill in the country.

In the Senate, Staci served on several committees including Agriculture, State Government, and Ways and Means. She was also the Vice Chair of the Education committee and Administration and Regulation Appropriations subcommittee.

Before becoming State Senator, Staci worked as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch and UBS Paine Webber. Additionally, Staci has worked as a Sunday school teacher at the First United Methodist Church in Ackworth.
