Kate Marshall came from humble beginnings, but worked her way through high school, college, and law school before joining the Department of Justice, managing to squeeze in a Peace Corps tour in Kenya along the way. As State Treasurer, Kate is powerful advocate for working families and has focused on issues important to everyday Nevadans, including gas prices, early education, supporting small businesses, and protecting small-town grocery stores.

Kate previously served two terms as Nevada State Treasurer.

In her 2nd term, the Treasurer’s office launched the Nevada College Kick Start Program.

Additionally, she worked to implement programs that have saved millions in taxpayer dollars, reduced government spending, and increased economic development for Nevada.
