Oklahoma is ranked second in the nation as the toughest place to live if you’re a woman and second to last in the nation for the number of women in office. That’s not a coincidence. The first step to turning that around is to send more strong, capable women leaders like Cyndi Munson to Oklahoma City who will bring a different set of priorities to governing that will benefit all Oklahomans. As an Asian American woman leader and avid champion for Oklahoma women and their families, Cyndi Munson will bring a different set of priorities to Oklahoma City, ones that will benefit all Oklahomans.

Cyndi Munson is the Community Programs Manager for Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma where she manages programming for girls in low-income schools, detention facilities, and public housing.

She serves on the Resource Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Young Professionals Board for Infant Crisis Services.

Cyndi serves as an executive committee member of the Infant Crisis Services Young Professionals Group, secretary of the University of Central Oklahoma Alumni Association Board of Directors, and president of the Greater Oklahoma City Sigma Kappa Alumnae Association.

She is also a member of the Oklahoma Women’s Coalition, the University of Central Oklahoma Young Leaders Alliance, and an alumni member of the Department of Corrections Leadership Academy.

While at the University of Central Oklahoma, Cyndi was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal for Leadership and Public Service.

Cyndi has prioritized women and girls issues in her campaign and is ready to be a fierce advocate for Oklahoma women and their families.

Cyndi, who was raised by her single, military veteran father, is a first-generation college student with degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Nebraska.
